The only reason I started doing all these things to make money online was to get enough money to start my own business. In the beginning it was hard to think of a good business idea that I could afford. So here is a list of online businesses that anyone can start with little starting costs. This will be a two-post article.
1. Reseller Hosting
Reseller hosting is basically offering web hosting using another companies servers. For example, a company gives you 1000 gigs of disk space and 10,000 gigs of monthly bandwidth to distribute among as many people as you like. So with the amount of space and bandwidth you have, you can offer 100 people 10 gigs of disk space and 100 gigs of monthly bandwidth. If you charge $5.00/month, then you're making $500/month. The only costs you have to pay is the cost of your server, your web site, and any advertising for your site. In the end, I'd say you're making $400/month for 1 server. All companies that offer reseller hosting also offer a control panel to easily add/remove users from the server. Some companies even offer an automatic system to handle all the billing and creation/deletion of accounts. I would recommend one that does offer an automated system, because it's then a true turn-key system to making money.
2. Open a SpreadShirt store
Spreadshirt is a web site that lets you make your own clothing products with great ease. All you do is make your own designs(or take other people's) and then put them on any clothing product you like(t-shirts, hoodies, even underwear). Make as many products as you want, then set up your store. Spreadshirt.com just gives you html code to put into your site, and then you're done. Spreadshirt handles the printing and shipping of the products, and they take part of the profit. If you used someone else's design, they also get part of the profit, and you take what's left. In the end you make about $5 - $10/sale. If you make some cool shirts, then word will spread of your site(teenagers like shirts).
3. Make a Review Site
This is actually a very easy and potentially very profitable business idea. What you do is offer a link on your homepage to a review that wrote about a website or product. When the user clicks the link, they will see screenshots, the review of the site, and a link to the site itself. You can offer several payment plans to your customers. For example, you can make it $10 for the review itself, and then $5.00/month to keep the link on your homepage. The perfect example of this is onrpg.com. They write reviews and advertise for new multiplayer games and larger ones as well. This type of business is easy to setup, and gives a good risidual income.
